With Betonwatte, the Vienna-based multi-instrumentalist with Burgenland roots moves between opposites: hardness and fragility, structure and dissolution, noise and intimacy. At its core is a hybrid approach: electronic structures meet a live-played drum kit that gives the tracks a physical, unpredictable dynamic. Over the top sits a voice that shifts between singing and rap: direct, rhythmic, tightly woven into the beat.

The music is built in layers: driving patterns, distorted textures and subtle shifts build a tension that relies less on dramaturgy than on state and intensity. Instead of clear song boundaries, a flowing stream unfolds. Live, this becomes a physical experience: raw, precise and with controlled force.

Betonwatte stands for a sound that refuses to be pinned down: between club and concert, between machine and human, between control and the moment. A project that doesn’t resolve tension, but deliberately holds it.
